About Slash feat. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators

Slash, whose real name is Saul Hudson, and Myles Kennedy first joined forces during the creation of Slash's self-titled debut solo album in 2010, contributing to notable tracks such as 'Back From Cali' and 'Starlight'. By this time, Slash was already renowned as a legendary guitarist through his work with Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver, and he aimed to feature a lineup of stellar guest artists on this album. Among these was Myles Kennedy, who had gained prominence as the lead vocalist of Alter Bridge and was recognized as a highly demanded rock singer. The album also boasted contributions from music icons like Iggy Pop, Dave Grohl, and Chris Cornell. Following the album's release, Slash and Kennedy embarked on a tour, which paved the way for their subsequent collaboration on the album 'Apocalyptic Love', launched in the summer of 2012. This project was preceded by live recordings, including 'Made in Stoke', where Kennedy's vocals were a highlight of the performance. Together, Slash and Kennedy, along with their band known as 'Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators', embraced a blues-infused hard rock sound on 'Apocalyptic Love', reminiscent of Slash's era with Guns N' Roses.
