Holocoder

Holocoder project - one of the eldest dark electro / EBM acts in Russia - was founded in 2000 after musicians of two Kirov-based bands Spud Babiez and Woid have joined their forces and technical abilities together to produce an EBM record.

Their debut album Psalom 2003 was released by underground label Fight Muzik based in St. Petersburg. Participation in the Industrial Festival taken place in Novosibirsk in the fall of 2002 soon followed. Project found a positive response among the audience of this Siberian city.

Shortly after band began to participate in every major gothic and industrial festival. Tour included several dates in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Ekaterinburg, Perm, Izhevsk, Tyumen and Novosibirsk together with presentation of the first Russian Dark Scene sampler Colours Of Black and memorable Project EBM launch, as well as support of Archangelsk art-festival Terror Incognito along with bands Theodor Bastard and .

The sonic uniqueness of Holocoder hardly can be labelled as any concrete music style. Rough hardcore beats combine with jungle and breakbeat rhythms while primitive key-parts refer to the old school EBM sounds. Together with harsh and aggressive vocals in kind of Haus Arafna this creates vivid and truly indelible impression.

Military themes placed in the forefront are not an accidental discharge. War is not just a history, but something that happens every moment nowadays. Victims of the 20th century World Wars are beyond any comprehension, but still someone's dying of the enemies' bullets.

Uniting extremes in their art during the years of successful career Holocoder has already shared the stage with Swedish neoclassical band Arcana, Japanese electro act Euthanasie and the leading US futurepop artist Assemblage 23 bringing the band status up to international, confirmed by the upcoming tour-support of German sensation Lola Angst in aug-sept'08.

Since band appeared five years ago it established a position of the leading Russian EBM act and due to regular performances got a lot of friends and fans almost in every city always trying to maintain connection with. At the moment project is working on their next album recording.
