Above This was originated back in 2011 by Shawn O'Brien and Thomy Buser with the release of (7l7, Titanium, Empire Deluxe and Hyrax). Since then - Shawn has taken the project to new heights collaborating with multiple producers including Zachary Stiteler (Pharaoh & Alloquy), and Cameron Ayala & Nicholas Shtyrlov (Chapter 7).

Over the years the project has experimented with a variety of sounds including rapping and edm/trap. Above This has consistently released new music every year since it's launch in 2011 and continues to take the digital music scene by storm. Although Shawn is the frontman of the project, he finds himself collaborating with producers from all genre's and not just specifically metal. Consisting of over 1-million total views on Youtube and an estimated 1.2 million plays on Spotify - Above This is exceeding the expectation of what it means to be an "Internet Band' and has been recognized by some of the biggest artists in the music industry.
