About Cerebral Desecration
Cerebral Desecration was founded by David Machado and Javier Zamora back in mid 2010. Both formerly the guitarist of Local San Marcos Central Texas Thrash Band INSANITI, Cerebral made its mark by opening for the legendary Brazilian Lords of Thrash Sepultura April 2011. Since opening the gates to this 78666 based band, Cerebral has been blessed with many opportunities opening for numerous National/Regional Acts such as Death DTA, Crowbar, Devil Driver, Black Dahlia Murder, Cattle Decapitation, Superjoint Ritual, Fleshgod Apolocalypse, Anthrax are amongst a few. Cerebral has since taken many strides into pounding their name amongst all the phenomenal Texas Metal bands, being nominated for numerous awards Cerebral has kept moving forward!!
In February 2013 debut EP, “Immortals” was finally recorded at Looney Bin Recording Studios with Bobby "Glen" Mercier (R.I.P.) out of San Antonio, officially releasing on March 28th, 2013, the release assisted Cerebral Desecration into being nominated for Best Metal Band of 2013 in SATX. In 2016, Cerebral released their 2nd EP "Incarnation" with Bobby Mercier once again, until finally a few years of hardship they released their 3rd EP/Album May 1st, 2020 "Further Than The Bottom." Two years in the making, and after our Co-Founder Javier Zamora announced he was stepping away for personal reasons in May 2019, Cerebral pushed forward writing the material with the current line-up of Kobey Lange, David Machado, Joe Muniz, Collyn Rios and as a fill in brother Bryan Eckermann stepped in, pushing the band to Record/Mix/Master the album at Bryan's home in SATX Bonespill Studios. Cerebral persevered, they bypassed all the turmoil, climbing out of the trenches, and never gave up earning a respect amongst all the Texas Metal Scene. Thats the CEREBRO Brotherhood that fans, friends and family have come to love and respect.
"We look forward to what the next few years have to offer...By far we are not done! Until we reach that pinnacle goal, we will continue to push our limits to achieving the ultimate prize...To just being heard, respected across all parts of the world." -DMO-
