About New Age Doom
New Age Doom is an experimental music collective based in Vancouver, Canada, known for their innovative fusion of genres such as drone, jazz, rock, and dub. Their collaborations with notable artists have garnered significant attention in the music community.
In 2021, they released "Lee 'Scratch' Perry's Guide to the Universe," a collaboration with the legendary dub pioneer Lee "Scratch" Perry. This album blends heavy music elements with dub's fluidity and Afrofuturist jazz dynamics, creating a unique soundscape.
Following this, in 2023, New Age Doom partnered with Norwegian dream-pop artist Tuvaband to produce "There Is No End." This project showcases their atmospheric noise combined with Tuvaband's luminous vocals, resulting in a sprawling avant-prog experience.
Their music is characterized by virtuosic percussion, upright bass, and analog electronics, creating a sound that shatters conventional boundaries and explores new dimensions.
Through these collaborations, New Age Doom continues to push the envelope of experimental music, blending diverse influences into cohesive and groundbreaking works.
