About Terra Atlantica

Terra Atlantica is a German power metal band founded in the end of 2014, when drummer Nico and singer Tristan decided to leave their former band and start a new project. The crew was completed by bassist Nick and guitarist Mike and soon the concept of singing about Atlantis and other nautical themes evolved, including the optical implementation on stage.

A first demo containing three songs was released in the middle of 2015, shortly followed by Terra Atlantica’s first appearance on stage at the Baltic Hell Open Air festival. After having gathered enough material, the recordings for the debut album began. While these were taking more time than expected, the band played several shows with local representatives of the scene like Stormwarrior, Shadowbane or Aeternitas.

In 2016, Nick left the band and was finally replaced by Karim taking over the bass guitar. At the end of the year, the album was finished and the quest for a label for the release began, being completed in may 2017 with the signing of a contract with Gegentrend Records. In the summer, the first music video to the song “Atlantica” was released, shortly followed by the debut album A City Once Divine.

For the second album Age of Steam, the band signed with Pride & Joy Music. It was mostly composed by Tristan and Nico, while the rest of the line-up was renewed: Julian and Freddie are now playing bass and guitar.
