Blackdeath was founded back in 1995 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. From the very foundation and up to now Blackdeath has chanted and is chanting the Apocalypse which befalls everywhere, from the deeps of human psyche to the chasms of the endless Space. Blackdeath plays Apocalyptic Black Metal exclusively.
At this date Blackdeath has released ten full-length albums – the latest one, Also sprach das Chaos, was unleashed in October 2021 by End All Life Productions – as well as several EPs and splits with some bands.
The line-up has changed since the foundation and over the last several years the band consists of Abysslooker (guitar) and Colonel Para Bellum (vocals and bass) and Polar Maya (drums), while in the autumn 2014 Der Nukleare Herjann, a prolific musician and the chief of Dutch label Heidens Hart Records, joined the band as a live guitarist.
