Little Dead Bertha

Russian band LITTLE DEAD BERTHA has been formed in city Voronezh in 1994. Originally the name, as well as a material sustained in style thrash metal, and was in Russian. A year later, after record of two demos, line-up was added with the second guitar and a violin. The rate on doom-death metal has been taken. A result became a debut album «In Memorium Premortis», recorded and released in 1997, and, the album which has followed it «Two Sides» (1999).
Both of releases have been published on МС by Moscow label Hobgoblin Rec., also dispatched by the greater circulation on all territory of Russia and the CIS countries. Musically these albums has represented doom-death metal with a small bias in gothic, with a heavy guitar sound and sad violin melodies.
After an output of «Two Sides» in line-up of band there were variations.
It has been decided to replace the name on BERTHA and to change the sound a little. Under this name in 2003 on Valiant Music Prod. an album «Light and Shadows» was released. The album has turned out much softer previous cds, sustained in spirit of gothic metal. After its output the band returns the name LITTLE DEAD BERTHA and begins the work on a new material, putting before itself the goal to record the heaviest album.
In 2004 «Two Sides» was re-released by label Stygian Crypt Prod.. A year later on the same label was released the advanced fourth album «Way of Blind». This album represents refusal of gothic subject matters and return to roots with heavier and high-speed sounding.
Today music of LDB represents a high-speed and symphonic mixture from melodic death, melodic black and gothic metal with a heavy guitar sound and a powerful man's/female vocals.
