About Harakiri for the Sky

Harakiri for the Sky is an Austrian post-black metal band formed in Salzburg and Vienna in 2011.
The band consists out of vocalist J.J (Michael V. Wahntraum) and M.S. (Matthias Sollak), formerly of Austrian pagan metal band Bifröst, who plays all instruments. The duo released their albums Harakiri for the Sky (2012), Aokigahara (2014, named after the forest in Japan) and III: Trauma' (2016) via German record label Art of Propaganda.
The band toured alongside acts like Der Weg einer Freiheit and The Great Old Ones in March 2016 and played Summer Breeze Festival later that year. While performing live the musicians get help by different session musicians. In 2017 Harakiri for the Sky got a nomination for the Amadeus Austrian Music Awards in the category Hard & Heavy.
