The Lust

THE LUST was formed in St. Petersburg 2002 by the guitarist of Russian band DISSECTOR. After recording of the first demo under the name LAST EMBRACE band has got deal with Russian label FONO and released 2004 first full-length album "Tangled" under the name THE LUST. One year later THE LUST has signed a deal with Greece label Sleaszy Rider and released in 2005 in Europe second album "My Dear Emptiness", which was mixed by Christian Schmid at Music Factory in Germany. The album was also licensed by Russian label Irond. The next album “Membrane” was released in summer of 2006 by Sleaszy Rider/EMI and followed in summer 2008 by the European re-release of album "Tangled". At the same time band has recorded in Russia and Finland songs for its fourth studio album „Decomposition Deluxe“, self-released much later in 2010. At the beginning of 2010 the limited edition of new album "One Life Ago" with unreleased material was self-released. In 2012-2013 the band has released a couple of Internet-singels with unreleased and remixed stuff and digital album "Out Of The Flesh" with new material. 2015 THE LUST has decided to continue with new singer Anna Dust (Decadence Dust). During 2015-2016 renewed band together with some guest-musicians has recorded its first conceptual album “Black Dahlia Poem”. The mixing/mastering was done again by Christian Schmid at Music Factory in Germany. 2018 THE LUST have released several albums and singles, including their most noticeable full lenght "Karmalove" and EP "Dear Diary" with unreleased tracks. 2019 the compilation "Lustration" with cover-versions recorded during 2016-2019 followed with three new recordings. In the summer 2019 the group began work on a new album "Honest", which was released in summer 2020, accompanied by several singles and video for the song "Hate At First Sight". The album "Karmalove" with 4 exclusive bonus-tracks was also re-released at the same time by SoundAge Production. In January 2021 the band released full-lenght piano-album "Ethereal Euphonies"- songs from different albums by THE LUST performed by pianist Lorelei Ether. During 2021 the album "Karmalove" was re-released again by Greece label Sleaszy Rider Records as digipack with 1 bonus-track
