About Vril Ya

Vril Ya is a Georgian extreme metal band formed in 2015 By Beka "Sepu" Sabanadze. After numerous line-up changes, the band was joined by lead guitarist Alex Skogar, drummer Sandro Brokishvili, vocalist Nick Khandamashvili and bassist Temo "Ink'd" Gegia. After a successful local tour and a tour of Armenia, the band gained notoriety for its unique mix of deathcore, thrash and groove metal with some death metal influences. Their brutal style, fast drumming and guttural vocals became a trademark known as Vril Ya. However in 2016 Nick (vocals) quit the band due to personal and musical issues. Vril Ya was then joined by Gio Kavsadze, one of the best metal vocalists in the country and after another successful gig with Artillery he also quit due to personal issues. At the time the band was already featuring three guitarists with an addition of a very talented guitar player David "Dago" Fularia, who brought some new Yngwie Malmsteen influenced themes to the table. Finally in 2017 the band announced the addition of David Tsetskhladze (member of very first VrilYa lineup, ex-lead guitar) on vocals, a very talented frontman and multi-instrumentalist, known for his work with a fellow Georgian thrash metal act X-Machine. The band is currently working on their debut album set to be released September 2017.
