About Carnality

Hailing from Rimini (Italy), Carnality started their career as a five-piece brutal death metal act with the former members Marco Righetti (guitar) and Manuel Arlotti (drums),whith the vocalist Thomas Ghirardelli, the guitarist Christian Conti and the bass player Patrick Amati to complete the lineup. With the same lineup Carnality recorded at Gabriele Ravaglia’s Fear Studio their first demo ever entitled "Torment of Eternal Sorrow", characterized mainly by Cannibal Corpse influences . In 2001, after a lineup change (Capu filled the vacancy in the band as bassist after P. Amati left), the band relied again to Gabriele Ravaglia and his recording studio for the realization of “Brutal Execution”, a mini-CD of three tracks with which the band earned the title of “Top Demo” on the magazines Grind Zone and Metal Shock, thanks to a renewed, darker and richer, style. Two years later the band recorded a new mini-album, "Beyond the Gate" again relying on the experience of Gabriele Ravaglia . 2007 was a suffered year for the band, that had to face several lineup changes: Capu , T. Ghirardelli and C. Conti left the band which, thereafter, will continue its career as a quartet, with the new vocalist Andrea Manenti (Krydome and former member of Muculords and Entity) and the bassist William Leardini . Thanks to a renewed and stronger lineup, the band finally managed to record their first full-length at Fear Studio with Simone Mularoni (DGM , Empyrios) . The album simply titled “Carnality” was released in November 2011 for the Belgian UltimHate Records, and was well received by critics and fans for its sound characterized by a powerful and highly modern production and very technical songs. Soon after the release of the album A. Manenti left the band, and Luca Scarlatti (ex – E.T.H.A.N.) took the place of vocalist in early 2012. Then the band starts a good series of live shows in promotion of the new record, coming to share the stage with bands like Vile, Necrodeath, The Modern Age Slavery, Lacerated and Carbonized (BRA), Antropofagus, Hideous Divinity, Logic of Denial and many others. In late 2013, Carnality faced a new challenge: after separation from bassist W. Leardini and the arrival of Shane (ex - Dawn Under Eclipse), the band recorded the new concept-album “Dystopia” at Simone Mularoni’s Domination Studio. The new album is carachterized by a powerful, clear and defined production, where each instrument clearly emerge from a huge wall of sound. It’s the direct evolution of the previous full-length sound’s with a certain and well-studied usage of melody, especially in guitar solos, to enrich a strong and fierce technical brutal death metal, denoting influences that comes from Nile, Job For a Cowboy and Behemoth

The band has released 2 studio albums:
  • Carnality (2011)
